Meet the Team
Experienced producers Evangelo Kioussis and Simon Baxter founded Richmond in 2019.
Having faced the many challenges when raising finance, with the backing of their investors, they decided to face those challenges head on and form a producer friendly financing company.
CEO / Executive Producer
Born in Canada, Evangelo relocated to London and formed MIRROR PRODUCTIONS with Simon Baxter. Evangelo produced CRASH BURN LOVE (2016), the debut film from acclaimed commercials Director Rob Sanders, followed by Chanya Button’s VITA & VIRGINIA (2019), inspired by Dame Eileen Atkins’ acclaimed stage play chronicling the love affair between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville West, starring Gemma Arterton, Elizabeth Debicki and Isabella Rossellini. Evangelo was the UK Producer on German/UK/Polish
co-production ADVENTURES OF A MATHEMATICIAN (2021), Thor Klein’s film about Stan Ulam, the legendary Polish mathematician who helped Oppenheimer create the H-Bomb. Evangelo is currently preparing World TRESPASSERS with Director Vanessa Filho (ANGEL FACE starring Marion Cottilard ) for a late 2022 shoot, which tells the story of celebrated surrealist Lucy Schwob, who conducted the longest undetected campaign of resistance against the Nazis in Occupied Jersey. Evangelo’s unique position as a successful Producer in the Independent Film market gives him the vantage point required to select and oversee the best projects for Richmond Pictures, and to be a strategic ally to Producers seeking funding for their projects.
